Recently, Microsoft has published build 10512 of Windows 10 Mobile and I installed it on my Lumia 520. So far the build runs better than the last one and since the update on my test device there were no crashes. Furthermore the performance is quite nice which makes the Windows 10 mobile preview now even usable in daily life. Still all people who use the preview on their device have to bear some restrictions like:
- Mobile hotspot doesn’t work in this build.
- Two-factor authentication for your MSA with a phone number doesn’t work in this build.
- Some apps may fail to update through the Store with the error code 0x80073cf9; uninstalling the application and reinstalling it will resolve this issue.
There are some more bugs in the build. You can have a look at them here.
According to Gabriel Aul, Microsoft has fixed over 2000 bugs in this new build. That’s why there are only some new features like the possibility to set the lock screen and the background image from within the photos app now.
Additionally, Microsoft has improved the kids corner. These are the new features I have noticed so far. Maybe I will find some more to share later.
