Just recently we got some more information about the new Dell XPS 15, which will feature an InfinityTouch Display similar to the one found on the Dell XPS 13 2015 (header image). Now, Winfuture reported nearly all details about the very interesting 15.6” notebook.
The report claims that the device will come in two different versions – at least for the US. Both will feature the almost bezel-less display, while just the 4K model (3840 x 2160p) will have the touchscreen. The non-touch version will have a 1080p screen. Thanks to the small bezels around the display the notebook is said to be just as big as a standard 14” notebook.
The device will either be powered by an Intel Core i5-6300HQ or an i7-6700HQ. The less expensive model will be equipped with 8 RAM, while the higher-priced one will have 16 of RAM. Furthermore the notebook will feature a 256 GB SSD or a 512 GB SSD. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M will also be part of the device.
In terms of ports the XPS 15 is said to have the following ones: two USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI port and a full-sized SD card reader and a Thunderbolt 3 port.
Interestingly enough, the device only weighs 1.7 kg and is 17 mm thin. Prices will start at 1800 dollars for the cheaper touch model.
