The Microsoft Band 2 was launched two months ago. Now the fitness wearable will get an update which adds some features. You will be finally able to control your music from the device. This means that you can play and pause music, skip forward and back and turn the volume up and down.
This feature was a big request from the users and shows again that Microsoft is listening to the feedback of their customers.
Furthermore the device will make the user even more active with “notifications that remind you to get up and move”. When you have been still for too long the Band will remind you to move. Of course it will be possible to set times when you don’t want to be reminded for example when you are at work or in the car.
With the update, Microsoft will make it easier for the user to learn about new features. They added the ‘What’s New’ Tile. It will provide information about new functionalities and features. The tile will automatically appear on your band when new updates are available.
In addition, Microsoft was working on the Exercise Tile:
“Now, it’s easier to track your duration, calorie burn, and heart rate for your favorite exercises when you use the Exercise Tile. Select popular options, like yoga or weightlifting, or name your own. When you review your exercise sessions in the Microsoft Health app or Web Dashboard, your summaries and observations will be grouped by exercise type for better insights into your performance.”
What do you think about these new features? What are you requests for the next updates?
