Swiss developer Daniel Reust – also known as @winapps_ch on Twitter – just recently published a new app for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile called “Medicamentum”. This app should help you to better manage your medicines inventory. In this article, we want to give you a quick overview of this very helpful tool.
Medicamentum for Windows 10 (Mobile)
First of all I have to mention, that the app targets Swiss people since the drug database is from Switzerland. Nevertheless, you still may want to check out the app.
When you launch the app for the first time, you’ll be greeted by the following message since you don’t have any medicines added to your list so far.
In order to do so, you just click on the plus symbol in the bottom right corner. Then you can search for a specific medicine by typing in the name, the EAN or swissmedic number. By clicking on a found drug you get more details about it. Furthermore, you can add an expiration date and optionally some remarks. Then you just have to tap on the save button and the medicine is on your list. Of course you can add more medicines to that list if you want to.
If a drug expires, you will see a red warning right below the entry. You can delete one specific entry by clicking on it and then tapping on the delete button on the bar at the bottom. If you want to delete the whole list at once you just have to click on the three dots and then on “delete list”.
Under settings you can update the database and under about you’ll see that TheWinDuck friendly supports winapps.ch 🙂
Now that we have taken a closer look at “Medicamentum”, I’d like to quickly mention some other apps developed by Daniel.
He is probably most known for Thesaurus – an app, which lets you search for synonyms and related words for a specific term. The app supports English and German and is already available for Windows 10 as Universal App.
Also already available for Windows 10 is Postal Codes reloaded which – as the name indicates – helps you to find postal codes for cities and villages. The app supports 73 countries. Note: Daniel told me that the app will be pulled from the store and he will release an app called “Postal Code”some time in the future. We will of course inform you when the app hits the store.
Together with Medicamentum those are the three apps which are available for Windows 10 so far but as you can read on winapps.ch, Daniel also plans to launch My Locator, Fakten der Schweiz (Facts about Switzerland) as well as Aviation Database for Windows 10 in 2016.
What do you think of those apps? Daniel is always looking for some feedback!
