Microsoft is bringing Windows Ink to Office – finally. With the Ink editor you will be able to strike trough words to delete them, circle text to select it and automatically snap highlighter ink to text. These features are now available for all Office Insiders and will be rolled out to all Office 365 users in November.
Furthermore, the digital ruler is coming to Office. First, it will be available in PowerPoint and then later in apps like Word, Excel and OneNote. Nevertheless, we still have to wait until early 2017 to use the feature.
With the next Office 365 updates PowerPoint will get a new Segment Eraser which intelligently removes excess bits of ink, right up to the nearest line. Microsoft will also add support for the Surface Dial and the Surface Studio.
The Office team is bringing even more features to PowerPoint, Excel, Word and OneNote. You can find them in this article here.
