Today at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, Dell announced new hardware. One of their new devices is the 2-in-1 Dell XPS 13 which got leaked yesterday. The 2-in-1 version has the same edge-to-edge display we already know from the original Dell XPS 13 and comes with a convertible hinge that allows the use in Laptop, Tablet, Stand and Tent Mode.
Besides the convertible hinge, the XPS 13 2-in-1 is powered by Intel’s latest Kaby Lake chips and is said to offer up to 15 hours of battery life. Windows Hello is supported on the device as well. A fingerprint reader allows an easy and quick way to unlock the device and an infrared camera will also be Windows Hello enabled “at a later day”. The display comes in two variants, one with a UltraSharp Quad HD+ screen and the other with a Full HD screen. More information on the device can be found here.
The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 will go on sale in the U.S. on January 5 starting at $999.
