Panos Panay has just announced the new Surface Pro at the Microsoft Event in Shanghai. The device comes with a new kickstand which now allows the Surface to lie even flatter. The 165 degree hinge makes drawing and writing on the screen with the new Surface Pen even easier.
With the power of the latest Intel Core processors of the 7th generation, the new Surface Pro is 1.7x faster than the iPad Pro and it will offer up to 13.5 hours of battery life. Both the m3 and the i5 versions of the Surface Pro will be fanless.
Another really nice thing of the new Surface Pro is that there will be models with 4G LTE connectivity. These models are coming later this year.
The new Surface Pro will start at 799$ but the Surface Pen is not longer included. The device will launch on June 15 in 26 countries (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States). You can start preordering the new hardware today at the Microsoft Store.
