Earlier today, I already wrote an article about a leak of the new Samsung Odyssey Windows Mixed Reality headset. Now, the new headset has officially been announced at the Windows Mixed Reality Event in San Francisco.
The Samsung Odyssey headset is the most expensive Windows Mixed Reality device but it is also the most powerful one and comes with a couple of unique features that you won’t find on the other Windows Mixed Reality headsets. The biggest difference compared to the other headsets are the built-in headphones from AKG which should offer a premium sound quality. Furthermore, the headset from Samsung has a better screen than the devices from HP, Acer, Dell and Lenovo. The OLED screen has a resolution of 2880×1600 pixels compared to the 1440×1440 pixels in the other headsets.
The headset comes with Motion Controllers and offers a 110 degree fiel of view. You can pre-order the Samsung Odyssey Windows Mixed Reality headset here for $499 and it will start shipping on November 6.
