Back at IFA 2015, Acer announced a couple of low-end Windows 10 Mobile devices. Surprisingly though, they even showed off a true flagship device running Microsoft’s latest mobile operating system, which made them the first company which officially announced a Windows 10 Mobile flagship device.
Just as a quick refresh the specs:
- Snapdragon 808
- 3GB RAM
- 5,5″ FullHD Super AMOLED display, Gorilla Glas 3
- 21 megapixel camera
Today at its Windows 10 devices event, the manufacturer once again showed the Jade Primo and announced/confirmed that the phone, which supports Continuum for a PC-like experience, will be bundled with a wireless mouse and keyboard as well a the dock for Continuum. Furthermore, the presenter said that Acer may even include a monitor – so that the costumer really gets the PC experience out of the box.
All this new information makes the Jade Primo to a really interesting smartphone in my opinion – of course only if the device is priced fairly. Actually, I’m even considering this for my next phone although I’d definitely miss some Lumia features as I don’t expect the device to come with Glance Screen (or similar) and a dedicated camera button. And I don’t think the camera will be as good as the one on the new Lumia 950 (XL).
After all, I’m really looking forward to Acer’s new Windows 10 Mobile flagship.
