A new report from DigiTimes claims that Microsoft is planning to release an all-in-one (AIO) PC under the Surface brand in the third quarter of 2016 at the earliest – according to industry sources. Furthermore, the report states that this AIO might be an alternative for the Surfabe Book 2 which reportedly will be delayed to the first half of 2017. According to DigiTimes’ sources, the original schedule for the second-generation Surface Book was the second half of 2016.
While this rumor is of course very vague and should be taken with a grain of salt, it’s definitely a very interesting one because Terry Myerson, head of Windows and devices, told TheVerge that in fall there will be coming many new devices from different companies – including Microsoft. Furthermore, Martin from Dr. Windows adds that he has heard from a relatively reliable source that a Microsoft supplier is already working on new components for a coming Surface device.
As mentioned above, this rumor is vague – but also interesting. I for one definitely would love to see an AIO PC from Microsoft. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
