Yesterday, Microsoft has updated its Skype Preview App and added a couple of new bots with the update. Bots were originally announced at Microsoft Build Conference.
With the latest update, over 15 new bots got added to Skype and that is just the beginning. According to Microsoft, over 30 000 developers are working on Skype bots which is an impressive number.
Skyscanner and Hipmunk are two of the new bots. Both are specialized in travel. Skyscanner allows you to search for flights “either individually or as part of a group, returning live prices and route options within Skype, based on location suggestions like “Paris in July” or “Spain.””
Microsoft has also been working with other businesses. StubHub which is one of the world’s largest ticket marketplaces has made a bot that helps the user to find tickets to amazing events. IFTTT will “will keep you informed with automated messages from the apps, devices and websites you love based on triggers of your choice, including breaking news, the weather, social media, notifications, someone at your door, and more.”
