Today, Panos Panay announced the new Surface Hub 2. The next generation of the interactive whiteboard will be available next year and offers a couple of gorgeous features. Microsoft is not sharing many technical details yet but we can already take a look at the design of the device. The Surface Hub 2 comes with a 50.5-inch 4K+ display which has tiny bezels. Integrated speakers, 4K cameras and far-field mic arrays make it the perfect device for video conferencing. Compared to the original Surface Hub, Microsoft has added an awesome feature: You can now rotate the screen.
The Surface Hub 2 features Dynamic Rotation which makes it very simple to rotate the device to portrait or landscape for the best usability.
Another great feature is the new “tiling” experience. Up to four Surface Hub 2s can be lined up together to create an awesome experience across all the devices. Apps like Microsoft whiteboard, PowerBI, PowerPoint and video calling will make use of the tiling experience by using all Surface Hubs at the same time.
The new Surface Hub 2 will start being available in 2019 but Microsoft will already start testing the device with commercial customers this year. You can find more information on the new Surface Hub 2 here.
